My name is Dimitri and I always tell my students: you only have one life, with many wonderful opportunities, make sure your life is worth living.
Teaching is my core business. I always try to connect to the experiential world of young people, their personal learning question and future profession. To make my lessons contemporary, I like to use educational technology.
I like to emphasise the value of MBO education and show that teachers can make a difference in students’ lives. I believe in customisation and personalised learning to better tailor education to them. I also conduct trainings and workshops on using educational technology to enrich lessons. How can you really teach meaningfully using digital tools?
One of the topics I provide training on is the Greenscreenbox, because it wonderfully brings out children’s creativity. I think it is important to introduce children to technology at an early age. My tip for teachers working with the Greenscreenbox: keep listening to the children so that you keep yourself creative too!
